We are pleased to invite you to a special event on June 2nd at Commanderie d’Avalleur, for the presentation of the book “D’Orient en Occident. Les Templiers, des origines à la fin du XIIe siècle”, which resulted from the symposium organised in Troyes in November 2021 as part of the scientific activities of the Templars Route European Federation (TREF).
This book, which goes back to the origins of the Order of the Temple, on both sides of the Mediterranean, gathers the contributions of 26 French, Italian, German, Portuguese, British and Israeli historians. It provides new insights and perspectives for future research into the Templars and, more generally, on military orders.
During this evening, the scientific editors of the book, Arnaud Baudin, Doctor of Medieval History, Deputy Director of Archives and Heritage of the Aube and Philippe Josserand, lecturer in medieval history at the University of Nantes, will be available to answer all your questions.
