Templar cellar at Saint-Julien-les-Villas

Once a temple house in Saint-Julien-les-Villas (which was then called Sancey), the medieval rib-vaulted cellar on the banks of the Seine is the result of an anastylosis carried out in 2000-2002. It was originally built at Pavillon-Sainte-Julie where the Payns commandery had a secondary house. Put up for sale at the end of the 20th century, it was dismantled, bought by the municipality of Saint-Julien and then rebuilt stone by stone. It is now used as a showcase for the Maison du Patrimoine.
